Default Midi Click Help

Is there a way to make a WAV file a midi click sound without have to suck up a Reason channel? My midi controller has no built in sounds and therefore I need to use an alternate source. The Reason midi click comes through the MIX L/R which is not a big deal, but any Insert effects on that channel will deform the click sound that Reason makes, which is bad if there is reverb or delay, among other things. The midi click inside Pro Tools, from what I can see, wants a midi channel as its click source. I don't use anything other than Reason (for now).

Any ideas? Thanks..

You could just make another Aux track w/ Reason(again)...this one just for the click. Add no plugins/fx to it.

Ah, ok, and within Pro Tools LE and AUX doesn't eat up any of my "32" track limit that LE has? Only Audio tracks are part of that, right?

What is the difference between Aux and Audio tracks?

Thanks,
Mark

Yes... and a nifty page to describe it, thanks to da BaSsTaRd.

Look to the bottom of the page for "USING AUDIO SAMPLES".

Aux's have many uses don't effect your track count. Use them to add external effects, comp plugins, synth returns, even alternate/sub mixes.
A little research into basic console architecture should be in your plans.
There's some good info on the net.
Good Luck-.
