Default 12.8.2 Broke Layered Editing Feature??
Hi guys
Today i found that, when i have Layered Editing enabled,and drag a clip over another and then moving it,it deletes the whole clip region..i made i small video to check it
Is this supposed to happen?I think no,watching this https://youtu.be/_jyYYNtCDyI?t=5m25s

However,when i just hit delete on the above clip,the underneath clip remains as it should...

If a clip is fully overlapped by the clip on top, the underlying clip will be removed from the timeline. Is that what you're seeing?

Hi Stig
No,watch my video
If i drag a clip on top of another and then moving that clip,then it leaves "hole"
Meaning,it doesn't retain the underneath clip!

I don't use this feature, but I will do some tests.

I am sorry too,cause i uploaded an animated gif and it transformed to an image..so i made an mp4 later
Yes,please test it...as you see from the youtube link i provided ,this shouldn't be happening

I'm seeing the same behavior as you, I believe. Moving (click'n'drag) a clip leaves a hole, but cutting/deleting an overlying clip does not. Seems like erratic behavior to me.

PS: This is on PT 12.7.1.

Seems like you are using HD
maybe it's broken in vanilla,like the vcas in 12.8.2x105
