Editing: "expand region" shortcut wanted!
Hi there,
is there any shortcut to do this: 2 regions on the same track with a little empty space between them. With the first one selected, press *magic key stroke* to expand the first region's end to the start of the second! (Or second region selected, expand 2nd one's beginning to 1st one's end.) So you don't have to take the Trimmer Tool and drag it by hand. No time-stretch wanted. Is there anything like that? Couldn't find it in the manual. Ahh, it's for PT HD 8 on a Mac. Thanks a lot! Cheers, p4 |

unfortunately there´s no key-stroke for that I assigned quickey keystrokes and now I´m happy (as with many other quickeys...)

Hi,
thanks for your replies! - the quickeys approach definitely seems to be worth a look. - the key commands by Mundoz unfortunately didn't work for me, in each case the second part, to be exact: Quote:
But yeah, it looks like the exact thing I've dreamt of! Cheers p4 |

Re: Editing: "expand region" shortcut wanted!
Thank you for this. I'll repay if I may with a simple quickey:
Extend fill to next region: -Type Keystroke Shift + Tab (twice) -Type Keystroke Command + keypad Plus. And opposite for the reverse of course. |

Re: Editing: "expand region" shortcut wanted!
Hmmm Confused... I was looking for the same thing, and the above mentioned keystroke works - BUT When I zoomed in the next region start was getting bumped back... Bumped back by the amount of the nudge value... so when Nudge was set to 1 frame... the following region start was bumped back 1 frame, when a second - it got bumped back 1 second !! now that's not how it's supposed to work is it ? is this a bug ? or am I missing something ?
Gonna try the same thing on PT 9 on my Laptop... Cheers Tom.... PT 8.01CS2 PPC Quad 2.5 Ghz 10.5.8 8GB Ram |

Re: Editing: "expand region" shortcut wanted!
You are not doing this in Shuffle mode are you?
You need to be in Slip mode. |
