Default PT 6.9 Shut down during opening \"digirewire.dpm\"

Hi! I have' a problem... When i am opening pt 6.9 and the program loads "digirewire.dpm" the computer waits 2 o 3 seconds and the program shuts down...

I tried deleting the file "digirewire.dpm" and the program works ok! but... i have not rewire support!!!

Anybody knows what is the problem?

Sounds like you have something else installed that is crashing rewire. What other applications/plugins do you have installed?

I had the same problem with M-Powered 7 and did what you did to temporariily fix it. I guarentee there is another music program installed on your computer with Re-Wire support that has a bad Re-Wire component already installed. For me it wound up being Fruity Loops. As soon as I uninstalled the Re-Wire component in Fruity Loops (which was an option on the menu), Pro Tools got past the digirewire crash. Check to see what programs you have installed that have Re-Wire support. It's one of those programs that is causing your problems. If you are unable to disable Re-Wire support on a particular application, you will have to un-install it, then re-install Pro-Tools, and then re-install the other application.
