Default Your Ultimate Live Gig

Just suppose you had the musicians and instruments of your choice, and you were asked to play a live gig in a nice intimate venue to an audience of 500.

What songs would you choose?

Who would your musicians be? (for your gig you have the power to temporarily raise the dead - God will understand)

Oh ok.. I'll bite!

I would have to say:

Herb from Primus Drummin'
John Coltraine playin Sax.
Maynard from Tool singing with backup vocals of Mike Patton from Faith No More and Bono - U2
Victor Wooten on Bass - KILLER!!!!
Steve Vai on Guitar, with Satch and what the hell bring back Stevie.
Put Tuck Andress out there as a starter for the crowd too.
Bela Fleck on banjo - gotta have the Eruption Banjo Solo again, and he is great.
Horn section from the Bosstones too....
Oh ya, G. Love for some added flare on backup too.

What I want to hear....

1. Anything by George Clinton - can you imagine that!
2. A funk remake of either "Hungry like the Wolf" or "The Reflex" by Duran Duran - not sure, just popped to the mind.
3. RIFT - PHISH - high tempo and I am sure they could destroy it!
4. Along the Watchtower - Gotta have a classic
5. What is Hip - Tower of Power - Imagine Maynard singing that!
6. Anything Nirvana
7. Gotta go ole school Big Hair and say anything from Poison. - It would be a site for sure

That is all I have for now

- Doc

Jimmy Page, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant -- and me there to hand Jimmy a tuned guitar after every number. What to perform? Why, Led Zeppelin III, Houses of the Holy, and Presence in their entirety.

I would then pass into the next world as a happy man.

This one is easy for me

1993 ZOOTV tour of Australia, U2 Live in Sydney....yes the one that they released on Video. I was front row right in front of Bono.

One thing would make that gig better and that would be me playing the bass for "New Years Day" and "where the streets have no name".

The bass tech (Stuart Morgan - i think his name was) got to do it on the Friday night so why not me on the Saturday. Bloody Adam Clayton was off playing with Naomi Campbell - somewhere?

either that one or
Bono or Thom Yorke Singing
Johnny Greenwood on synths and weird sounds
Edge on Guitar
Me on bass
My mate Ben on drums

That ought to do it

neeel.

Chris Poland - guitar
Me - guitar
John Taylor - bass
Mark Zonder - drums
NO VOX

I would have to say that to me, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star would sound awesome with this lineup so any song is fine with me.

tasty....

I would only need one musician... Robert Johnson

Well, I could of course use B.B. King on guitar, Jerry Lee on piano, Hellhammer on drums (if any of you know who he is I give you a free ice cream)... And of course daBasstard on bass and Roy on the second guitar
