Default MAUDIO FW1814

I have just bought it. I have just installed it. i have just booted it. all following the instructions meticulously. i fire up pro tools MPow 7.3 in anticipation...."no MAUDIO product is connected. connect an interface and make sure its switched on". which of course...there is an interface and its switched on.... am i missing something here? thanks for the advice.... still got the crackles and pops using my other new MAUDIO black box/protools MPow 7.3 setup.... i'm starting to get worried i invested in the wrong systems.
can anyone help?

I've got an 1814, an Audiophile FW and 4 PTHD systems. Both the M-Audio interfaces do this a lot! Try powering off and on the 1814 BEFORE rebooting M-Powered. That usually works for me.

I recently bought an 1814 and the driver that came with it on the cdrom was crap.I downloaded the latest driver from M-Audio's site and it's been working perfectly since.M-Audio's support has been great to me in the past also.

hey guys, i just went to m-audio and installed a new driver for the FW1814 (i didnt choose the newest one but there's a 1.8.1 which updates the firmware on the 1814 and solves all sorts of problems according to the release notes.

my FW1814 is now functioning properly... ALMOST...

does anyone know how i can change the sample rate etc. it seems to be permanently on 24bit/44.1khz and i want it to be 24bit/96Khz. there doesnt seem to be a switch like on Edirol products where you can select sample rate manually on the hardware.

thanks.
