Which free plugins

I am going to get the upgrade to PT 7 this weekend. I was wondering if anyone could recommend which two plugins are available and which ones have had the best reviews please?

P.S Why are DIGI not enforcing backwards compatibility with the 001 (or have the maybe in 7), this seems strange that they should phase it out in this way?
