Default "Digi Control" Digi-001 control surface

http://www.emagic.de/english/products/ logic/control.html

and

http://www.motu.com

Do they hate ProTools?????? or something???
I'm going too start emailing Mackie about a "Digi Control" (digi-001). Everyone join in please!!!
But from a business stand point they may not create one because of "HUI" ......big price difference. But it's worth a few emails.

I have a HUI and love it, but they have been around for awhile.
If Mackie was interested in designing a control surface for the Digi001 they could have easily created one.
With the arrival of the Control24 and the ProControl the HUI in all practicle aspects became a for the Digi001 product but the price skews that fact.
Not really sure what type of working relationship Mackie and DIGI have but with Soundscape being under their umbrella now it looks like they are gaming to be competition not partner, just look at the UAD-1.
Just think for a minute what would happen if DIGI came out with a Digi002 that actually had the 5.3 software with a few tweaks and added just one DSP card to the setup? Hmmmm.
They could the offer the standard setup, the standard plus DSP, and then the TMD. Would make a lot of sense plus close the gap in the product line, not to mention kill the appeal of the UAD-1.
Just a thought.

SKI is right- plus there's the D8B and HR 24/96 which is PC/MAC independant and (obviously) directly competing against the Digi products.
I'd expect Mackie to be on the far side of "Development Partner" status, which is too bad, because both companies have some strong products.

Logic Control works with PT - but only on the Mac. I'm not sure if it's TDM only or LE too, but maybe they'll add PC to the list eventually if we hound them enough, In any event, it's a HUI emulation mode for Logic Control - the D/L is available from the www.emagic.de site.

Maybe Digi could merge with Mackie and MOTU....

That would definatly give some terrific products.....
