Default Channel Strip Plug In

Has anybody noticed that the compressor on Channel Strip kicks butt.

Try it on your stereo Mix with the attack about 20, the release about 200, In fast mode with threshold about -14.5 and autogain ON.

It sounds like the SSL.

Just thought you'd like to know. I can't get that renaissance to do that.

how does the eq compare to the REQ from waves? I've been looking at this plug but don't know how they do the processing (truncated/dithered) and don't think they offer an NT demo. Is it a "no compromise" plug or more of a feature laden one?

The EQ to me is equal to the Renaissance EQ but I think the Filterbank EQ is probably better than both although I haven't played with Channelstrips EQ enuff.

My Demo ran out.

If CS does sound like an SSL it could be great used as a compressed drum group compressor. Save me having to patch my real SSL compressor in via an interface!

Yeah, there is a few channel-strip type plugs out there, which one do you mean?

A couple of links:

Info and demo versions of ChannelStrip are available from the folks that brought you SpectraFoo at Metric Halo's website:
http://www.mhlabs.com

FilterBank and CompressorBank are from McDSP:
http://www.mcdsp.com
They also have demo versions.
