Default Are there any plugins left that are must haves?

I've already got the Waves Mercury Bundle, Metric Halo Production Bundle, Eventide Anthology XII, all of the Exponential Audio plugins, whatever the Current RX version is, The Avid plugins of course. I've got Reverberate, the Plug &Mix VIP bundle, and a few other random reverbs that escape me at the moment. A bunch of the freebie plugins out there such as the Blue Cat stuff.

The only company I really don't have anything by is McDSP, but I don't really feel like I'm missing out on their stuff. Or the United Audio stuff either.

What else am I missing? Any really good surround or immersive reverbs or utilities I should have? Most of what I do is classical music recording and mixing of live concerts for symphonies and chamber music and some opera.

There are no plugins that are must haves...

Uh oh. Walls dissolve and you see green scrolling numbers of the matrix simulation...

Liquidsonic/Reverb Factory reverbs (same guy) for surround/immersive.
For utility, FabFilter Q3 and MB. (Q3 especially as a dynamic eq)

How did I end up posting this in the buy and sell forum?

I'm going to self report and have it moved to the plugin forum.

  • UAD Spark - Highlights, Neve 1073, Capital Chambers Reverb, LA-2A. I have a Neve desk loaded with 1073/1084's as well as hardware LA-2A.
  • Liquidsonic 7th Heaven for Bricasti Sounds. I have the Bricasti hardware too.
  • IK Multimedia Tapes bundles, Sunset Sound Reverb and their Stealth Limiter (all part of the T Racks bundle)
  • Plugin Boutique's Weiss Bundle (never used Weiss hardware so cannot comment how they compare to their hardware counterparts)
  • Waves Abbey Road - interesting tools that easily over saturate, but interesting and useful sometimes. I often put these thru a send/return to control the saturation. Highlight: Abbey Road Room for mixing with headphones, with my Audeeze LCD-X it tricks your brain into thinking it's in Abbey Road. Useful for checking balances etc....

The plugins "I must have" are MDWDRC2 (unbelievable compressor/limiter), the Weiss EQ and MM-1 and Fab's ProQ3.

There are plenty of others that I'd hate to be without, but these are the ones I'd call mandatory for anything I mix.

Someone posted this link on another forum:
https://everyplugin.com/catalogsearc...urer%5B0%5D=74

It will show you the FabFilter plugs on sale. Q3 is $106.24
