Default Pro Tools CPU Usage Meter - PAINFUL

Hey guys, not sure if anyone else noticed this but, since Pro Tools went Apple Silicon, the CPU meter shows plugin usage very oddly.
When you pull up a plugin to use, it adds enough CPU usage for 2 plugins. Add the same plugin to another channel and now the CPU % meter will not move to more CPU usage. It's very confusing cause you really don't know how much CPU usage you're actually using.

Do you guys use another software to know in real-time how much CPU usage you're using when using Pro Tools?

I have "Usage App" from my M1 Mac. What are you guys using?

AVID: Do you guys know about this and are you guys working on a fix for this?

Thanks, Marc

Usage meter never worked well in Pro tools. I just use the Apple one, forgot the name right now…

Apple's Activity Monitor is already on your machine and will be more accurate - cmd-2 displays CPU usage in a modal window that floats. Also iStat Menus is pretty great.

I use one called MenuBar Stats. More accurate readouts than the pro tools meter

In the words of one past Pro Tools developer ... "The CPU meters are measuring something... just not what people think...".
