Air Plug ins hang up launch of PT 10

I am mainly still using pro tools 10 but sometimes I open the same session in 11 to take advantage of the offline bounce feature. Then when I try to reopen the same session back on 10 PT hangs when it gets to auxes that have Air plug ins on them. I assume this is something related to switching back and forth from AAX versions. Is there a way to launch a session with plug ins inactivated? Or some other way (besides giving up on 10) to fix this issue?

Opening Sessions with inactivating all plugins:

Opening your session with all effects inactive could not be easier, simply locate your session file, hold the Shift key and then open the file, the loading screen will load as normal but without your effects enabled. Simple and easy

You can of course go through your session and enable the plug-ins individually by either Command_Clicking (mac) CTRL_Click (windows) them or by right-clicking them and selecting ‘Enable‘.

It is probably in there somewhere but I hate manuals with a passion and only use them in worst case scenarios when all is stalled or something breaks we can't fix Plus it takes way too long LOL

Now Pro Tools is not seeing any plug ins except for EQ7 saying they're not found. Although the DPM versions are in the right folder and the AAX are in the right folder. Any thoughts?
