Default HELP \"could not be open bec it was created with old v of PT\"

"The document could not be opened because it was created with an older version of Pro Tools."

thats what I get when I try to open session files from feb 1 2007. I was using 7.3.

I am now on 7.3.1 cs1.

SERIOUSLY. Is my disk about to crash?? Or are all my main files corrupt somehow????

If I cannot fix this I have to start cancelling sessions NOW so angry clients don't watch me play doctor....

I had this issue when I got a session uploaded onto a windows server.
This session was corrupted and it gave me the same error text.

So i think your session is corrupted in some way:

1. maybe your file system is corrupted.
Check the disk with the apple tool.
Repair permissions..
Do you have disk warrior. This is a very good repair programm if the file system errors

2. your Session itself is corrupted. There was sometimes corruption in 7.3.

Try to import your tracks into a fresh generated session!

3. Diskcrash? If you can hear your soundfiles with itunes or quicktimeplayer everything should be ok

Hope this helps

Ale

Hi Brian,

From reading your other post! it Sounds like your drive is about to crash? how about the back-up files of the session, do they load etc.
