Pro Tools Gain stages and impedence
Digi tech support,
If I send my entire mix to an Aux Input before the master fader, and assign all sends to hardware outputs 1-10 (stereo pairs on 888's), will I have the exact level and impedence as the original input on all of these outputs.....and will this effect my headroom on output??? I want to send to 5 analog tape machines and 5 digital tape machines knowing that EXACTLY the same thing is getting to all destinations!! Can I do this or do I have to set up line amps on a patchbay?? thanks -Rob Macomber |

Re: Pro Tools Gain stages and impedence
As I understand it, the same level will be feeding all outputs of your interface(s). You will also have the ability to control the level of each send, in the case that your analog machines are not calibrated exactly the same.

Re: Pro Tools Gain stages and impedence
Thanks--we tested the converters last night with a major load. They were seperately isolated and with still very low impedence. a 1 dB difference! Impressive. Thanks
