Well, there's a slice of reality for us all. Avid called me answered my questions and were fantastic! Wow. I have to say what a great experience. Jefro, sorry if I seemed short, Bill was a great source of information.

I had no technical problems just questions about the new program. They were all thoroughly and truthfully answered.

Here are the Answers to my questions:

1. Will I get PT12? Yes

2. Can I sell my PT10/11 support bundle? Yes, until 12 then you have to sell your iLok, but Avid are still working through the details of that.

3. If my support plan lapses and I'm on 12 what happens? Pt's continues to work at the last version prior to my lapsed subscription

4. If I use my ASC code to start an online case before the complete support program is implemented do I lose that code? No - You can use the same code again to start as many online cases, or one phone call a month. Once the program is in place the ASC codes will be replaced by something different.

Still confusing though...

I just activated Media Composer and it immediately says Perpetual Product in my account with the starting and end date.
For PT 11 it just shows Licenses: Pro Tools 11 Bundle and a bunch of downloads but still no mention of Perpetual Product and start/end date...

As mentioned, if you have questions, don't hesitate to use your ASC and start an online case. They have no problems answering your questions. The support program is still in the works, that's why you don't see anything. When it is available and the changes are made, you will be contacted.
