Default Sticky Rubber Pieces on Control 24?

Has anyone ever had the rubber pieces (bottom hand rest and side pieces of console) become sticky?
Ours is like the rubber has turned into a glue. All digi could tell me, is that they will look into the
replacement parts. But we had to replace the power supply that had burned out, and all I could think
of was maybe the heat screwed up the rubber permanently. I don't know. Anyone?

Yeah ,mine's the same and there's nothing worse than having sticky ends! All jokes aside, the arm rest and the two side end trims are as tacky as! I've also had to replace the power supply at my own expense and touch up the solder joints on the monitor section D sub output board to get the intermittent left channel (speaker) working again. Might email Digi myself to find out about parts.
Cheers.

Digi does have the front and side parts. They're like $150.00
Not a bad price, but since I already had mine torn apart, I bought
this stuff at Home Depot called Krud Kutter, and with a scrubbie from
the kitchen sink i stripped the "rubber paint" off in about 20 minutes.
Then I used black matt spray paint and painted them. then matt spray
varnish. Takes a wile between coats, but ended up looking great.

Yeah same problem here. Got a custom console made which at least gives me a nice armrest and covers that bit!

I'd be worried, in my climate of replacing these parts and having the same prob. in a year or 2... Like the paint job idea!

Cheers,

Hammers.
