Default locking up during startup

Does anyone know why protools would be locking up during the startup operation? Specifically, it locks up when it is 'creating DAE objects'. it's version 6.4 for windows. This is my first try at running protools for windows on this new computer, and i've followed all the recommended steps in the startup guide to make this run properly. All security functions have been disabled as well. i actually had it working fine before with just one hard drive---at least i was able to bring up tracks and play them, etc.--but decided another hard drive was in order because we use a lot of plugins. Since the new hard drive was added, it's been locking up during setup.

Thanks in advance,

Dumdrummer
