Tactile Control? Don't buy Evolution stuff!

I run an mBox/PT LE (v6.X)/ G4 833 setup, have been for the last couple of years. Being Norewgian (probably a mistake in itself - hah!), I don't have acces to a huge variety of hardware, and there's not many people around to ask for advice, especially as I'm not really conversant with all things Internet. Anyway, a year ago I decided to try to find a tactile control unit ( I really HATE recording and mixing with just the mouse and a few key commands), and after contacting the NICE people at Evolution who told me that their UC33 would be just the ticket, I went and bought one. On connecting it, I realised that none of the templates worked in my environment, but being Norwegian I counted to ten and mailed the Evolution support people, who assured me that they were working on it. A few months (and a few increasingly impatient emails) later, I was repeatedly ASSURED that, "Yes Sir, it's JUST around the corner Sir, any day now Sir," my problems would be solced. LIES, ALL LIES! Eleven months later, and I'm stuck with an expensive hi-tech doorstop/conversation piece . I've been checking out the Evolution message board from time to time, and it seems to me that EVERYBODY ELSE is making life difficult for them. Steinberg are withholding information, as are Digidesign, Cakewalk and others.
Anyway, to sum t up, Evolution are good at ASSURING, less so at actually delivering on their promises. You have been warned.
