Anyone using the FC4300 with more then one device
I recently purchased an FC4300, and connected my 002R and my external firewire drive to it and I started getting those pesky -XXXX errors, usually having to do with the HW buffer or the CPU holding off on interrrupts.. (No, I don't have Oxford 911 bridge chips in my drive, but I do have a couple of enclosures on order.)
Whats really weird is that everything works fine with both devices connected to the FC4300 using ASIO and sonar, however in PTLE 6.1, I keep getting these errors after 10-15 seconds of recording audio.. Anyone else run into this? Luckily I have a second firewire port on my SB Audigy2 card, and when I move the 002R to that port everything works fine in 002R and Sonar.. I don't think the DAE is optimized for windows XP. Why else would the ASIO drivers work fine in sonar, but DAE doesn't work well in PTLE.. DIGI should hire some guys from finland and have them rewrite DAE completely in assembly and hand optimize things . Btw, I love PTLE6.1, and I find it much more easier to use then Sonar, plus it looks nicer.. But, this damn DAE really bothers me.. Oh, and HI, I'm a newbie! |
