Default vertical dual screen causes loss of send bus menu parts

Hi,

refering to that 2008 post:
duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p=2287257&posted=1#post2287257

I currently encounter the same issue (7 years later... )

Here it is:

I have the same problem on PT11 / Win7 64 Bit, with vertical dual screen configured like this:

- above on the wall: LG TV on an intel HD3000 display output, 1920x1080
- in front on the desk: LG 21:9, on a GTX570 output, so, another graphic cards.2560x1080

When clicking on a send in the mixer, the bus list is too long and doesn't split into a second list on the right. Actually, it disappears behind the display... not very convenient.

-> a workaround is to virtually move the above screen on a side of the Windows Desktop layout.
-> This is NOT a solution, just a workaround.

Which i could verify is that the send bus list is exactly as high as both the screens resolution, so, 2160 i guess.

-> that means pro Tools is not refering to the actual PT window size but to the "Windows" desktop size, which sounds amazing to me.

Before i had the tv set, i had a 22 inch screen plugged on the same GTX570 card (not on the HD3000), on another port, without any issue.

-> so it may be related to the fact i use two different graphic cards
-> but the initial poster of the post linked previously used only one matrox card and had the same problem (7 years ago)

Is anobody able to troubleshoot that behaviour and find a better workaround than "moving" the second screen?
or would avid be able to release a patch? (do i have right to dream?)

This issue is really annoying and i'm astonished not to find more feedback about that issue... probably because most users are on MAC.

I thank you in advance.

Ronan.

would it be related to the height of both the resolution (so, a bug?) as here, both screens have 1080 vertical resolution, whereas previously, my 22 inch monitor had 1050 pixel height.

I thanl you in advance for your help.

Ronan.

I sometimes see this on my screens which are in (normal) landscape mode. It might be a bug when using dual graphics cards(which I am also using). You might also look at the bottom of the menu to see if there is a little "down" arrow. If there is, you should be able to mouse-click on the arrow to scroll.

I thank you for your answer albee1952.
The problem is that if an Arrow is available, it's at the bottom of the menu... but the bottom half part of the menu is outside of the screen :)
This is why i report that problem and ask for help.

regards,

Ronan.
