Default there will be TriTone MuteTone AAX64 plugin! (input monitoring off)
There will be TriTone MuteTone AAX64 plugin!
They hope to release it some time in September.

That is very important news since the "input monitoring off" feature is still missing in Pro Tools 11

very cool! that is one, maybe that plugin what holds PT11 away from me for recording, because i did not find an alternative plugin or work around with my consol monitoring. setup and forget about it...at the recording stage. (ducking with a compressor is not really an option for me)

I also would pay for that kind of plugin. i'm sure many other console owners as well ;-)

where do you get that info?

Awesome,I hope you are right Mute Tone for AAX ,is a must have for Native system

This is also very important for HDX users as well. For example: SSL desks had a workaround similar to MuteTone for years!

I don't know when mutetone is going to be working, but another workaround is to use DYNIII. Set the sidechain input to the same input the track is set to, the ratio all the way up and threshold all the way down. This way whenever the artist makes noise, the track auto-mutes.

There is a possible problem with this method - when you record vocals in the control room listening back through the monitors may trigger the compressor...

Other than that - good idea!

Avid, please consider making "input monitoring off" a feature, so we won't look stupid in front of Cubase/Logic/Reaper people
