Monitor Control w/Pro Tools 8 and 002
Some general advice?
Using intel mac with 002 rack and powered KRK monitors. I'd like to add a monitor controller to my setup, so I don't have to use the on-screen fader to control things all the time, but not sure how compatible things are. There are a number of different low-cost options and I was wondering if anyone was using any of these: Mackie Big Knob Presonus Monitor Station JBL MSC1 stu |

There is a monitor level knob on the 002, does that not meet your needs?
If not, why not?

I'm using this one.
Very simple. But works. Using software is dangerous.

Actually, the rack itself isn't right next to the mixing position so I was looking for something that I could have on the desk. Also, since many of these allow switching between monitors and mixes, and will have multiple headphone sends, in addition to the overall level thing, I though I could add some more options and convenience to my setup. |

Re: Monitor Control w/Pro Tools 8 and 002
Presonus Central Station, Mackie Big Knob, Samson C-Control(in order of preference). Add the Central Station remote and its about as good as you can get for under $500.
