Default mcdsp mc2000 vs ml4000

hey everyone,

mcdsp's having a 50% off sale for a few more days, and i'm wondering:

i have the ml4000 multiband limiter, which i love. I'm toying with picking up the mc2000 multiband comp, but wonder whether it would be redundant to the ml4000. any thoughts?

I've got both and they see different uses.

Just buy it.

I guess you can always use another DSP multiband.

I have the same question.
Does anyone else have both and find them very different?
I have the MC 2000 and imagine if i use it with a limiter i'll be in the same ballpark.

Don't forget that the ML4000 is actually a multi-band compressor, with a broadband limiter strapped across the summed output.

You can use it fundamentally as a version of the MC2000, but it's a bit of a fiddly workaround - the MC2000 seems to be a more practical solution for it's intended application.
