Trim commands in Shuffle mode?

I've always wondered this and lately I've been doing a lot of editing of VO tracks in Shuffle mode. It kind of drives me crazy.

Does anyone know why you can't trim start/end to insertion while in shuffle mode? It seems like it would be a perfect workflow, rather than having to make a timeline selection with the mouse and delete...

I've wondered about this myself. I've been using down arrow during playback to set the insertion, then Shift+Ctrl+Opt+Tab (insertion to clip start) or Shift+Ctrl+Tab (insertion to clip end) > delete.

I agree, it would be nice if it were possible. My suspicion is that it would create a logical conflict in certain situations involving overlapping audio, especially when trimming both ends at once. It should be possible to allow it except when the conflict would actually occur, but it would be a headache to program it that way.
