Default Mbox 2 pro versus buffer errors on older USB Mbox?

mbox 2 pro versus buffer errors on older USB Mbox?

Has anyone noticed a difference in errors vs the older USB devices???

Am thinking about a MBP or imac and wondering how many tracks an older box would get. It seems that some of the newer boxes have some problems.

Just want to make the right choice as I am interested in "Strike", very fluent with Logic, Nuendo, SX....but would appreciated knowing how common these errors are either with the new box or old boxes.

Thank you...

better drivers than the mbox 1 from what i've tested so far, that's for sure. far more stable and have more multitasking implementation. in the old digi drivers you'd have to close your DAW in order for the general OS to use the device but now they've fixed it to work more like a normal card.

Default Re: Mbox 2 pro versus buffer errors, explain ADC?

OK then.

Should I look at the older USB 1.1 boxes?

What is this ADC that people complain about???? How many tracks can I expect?

I would probably use the mbox to set up drums, (Strike), bass, guitar, then export as wav (possible on a mac) and input to the higher end Mackie and Nuendo for use with all my VST plugs.

Will this work???

i.e. setting a basic track with drums/bass and then importing to Nuendo to add vocals, guitar, acoustic and so on. When does the lack of delay compensation come into play and how many tracks can I expect and does the ADC lack therof, only apply to plug ins?

Thanks!!
