Default Re: Jam Sync Pro Tools with Camera

Hey guys,

I got a BNC to XLR adapter from Amazon. I plugged it into my mixer into Ch 1 and hooked that up to my UltraSync. set everything up with LockStep according to the video (setup an IAC Bus, did the Peripherals in PT, etc.).

When I put PT online (clicked the little clock icon and the MTC button), It doesn't appear that PT is following my time code on my UltraSync. When I try to press record, nothing happens.

Did i miss something?
Thanks!

Just to check, do you see the Ltc feeding lockstep? And does it say what framerate it’s getting? If so, go to pro Tools session setup window and make sure your session is set to the matching framrate.

The FPS on my jam syncer is set to the same as PT (23.98). I'm not sure if LockStep is getting the feed. It just says "Online - waiting" so i think no...? LOL but not sure what else to check.

Maybe I need to adjust something on the UltraSync?

I got LockStep to receive the incoming timecode (attached image). it says the TC and the FPS. I have matched my Pro Tools session with the same FPS in the Session settings.

I have Pro Tools online, but I am still not able to record in Pro Tools. I have my audio tracks record enabled, but PT does nothing.

Got it!!!

The audible timecode needs to be turned up so LockStep can "hear" the signal.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!!!!
