Default Missing my Massey plugin

Hi everybody,
I just very recently (just a couple weeks ago) downloaded the free Massey L2007 Limiter plugin and fell in love with it immediately. And then a few days ago I was having some problems in a session and so, taking some advice from the Help Us Help You section, I trashed my prefs. And now my Massey plugin is missing in both the audiosuite and track insert sections. (All my other plugins seem fine.)

I've checked the plugins folder in the system drive and it is still there, just not showing up in any of my sessions. I tried dragging it out of the folder and then back in to the folder and then restarting ProTools, still no luck. This has something to do with the trashing prefs, right?

Any ideas?

I'd download the installer again, trash the existing plugin and re-install.

Probably something to do with the "installed plugins" preference file though, which may be worth trashing again before you do the above.

Thanks. Where can I find this "Installed plugins preference" file?

Okay, I figured it out. Upon going to the Massey website, turns out most of the plugs only work on sessions that are 44.1k. The sessions I had been using were at 96k.

Thanks anyway.

No, the demos are restricted to 44.1/48. The purchased versions are not.

Yeah, I just have the demo right now. Definitely thinking of buying the full version though. Really impressed.

I'm resurrecting this file because I'm having the same exact problem. After installing all the Massey plugs via the Wizard app, the only one that ever shows up in my DAW is L2007.

I uninstalled the plugins and wizard today, before reinstalling the wizard and then the plugins. I still get the same problem. It shows up in my Pro Tools AAX directory as "Massey Plugins Inc.aaxplugin"

I've tried sessions in 24/44.1 and 24/48 and get the same results.. just the L2007.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Massey went the way of Waves by only installing a shell in the plugins directory. Massey's plugins are actually found here: Library>Application Support>Unified Plugin Framework

If you have license for the other plugins, I would trash the plugin cache so Pro Tools has to rescan the plugins. All of my Massey plugins show up just fine.

When I Google, "Pro Tools Trashing Plugin Cache," all that comes up is Trashing the Preferences.. is this the same thing? The directions they give seem very familiar to me.. I must have done this before for a different reason.

Anyways, here's the step by step instructions given for this.. Can you please confirm that I'm making the right moves here, and won't end up deleting anything important? Thanks.
  • From the Finder, click on the 'Go' menu at the top of your screen.
  • Press and hold the Option key on your keyboard and choose 'Library'.
  • Go to the Preferences folder.
  • Go to the Avid folder.
  • Go to the Pro Tools folder.
  • Delete all files in this folder: AvidListFile.txt. DSIPrefs. InstalledAAXPlugins. Last Used.pio.
