Default Clocking a Digi 002R from a Burl B2 ADC but 002 doesn’t have any clock in??

I have a Burl B2 ADC which I’m sending the audio via spdif coaxial to my digi 002 than I have the spdif going out to my UA 2192 for use of the D/A. I heard it is not wise to clock off spidif connections so decided to purchase a BNC cable.

Only thing is I just realized the Digi 002R does not have world clock in. Not sure what to do now. Do I just send a clock out from Burl B2 into the 2192 to clock off the Burl.

You should be able to set (in Pro Tools>Hardware Setup) Clock Source=SPDIF

The 002 must use S/PDIF for clock I/O.

Thanks Albee and goobs, bummer I heard its not a good idea to send clock signals via spdif. I guess there’s no other way.

As far as the Burl and the 2192 should I just have the 2192 clock from the Burl?
Like go from Burl into the 2192 and set 2192 to external clock?

Which clock would you prefer to use as the master clock?

I’m thinking the Burl wouldn’t that be the superior clock?
