Default Installed PT 7.4 - most plugins won\'t work

In finally upgraded from Pl 6.9 LE to 7.4. My old system worked fine but I just purchased BFD2 and it won't work with 6.9. Anyway, I installed the upgrade this morning and when I launched PT I initially got an error message that there was an access violation. I followed the various fixes on the digidesign website and was able to get PT to open. This time, most plugins -- except for the bundled ones (and for some reason Drumcore) -- wer not there when i tried ot insert them on a track. When I looked in the digidesign folder under prgram files all of my other plugins were listed as unlicensed.

I tried to search for an answer to the question but I cannot find anything. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

I installed version 2.0 of the fxpansion vst to rtas converter (PT 6 uses the old version) and my vst plugins can all be accessed now. But I still can't get any of my RTAS plugins. I am out of ideas. Help!

Thanks in advance.

You need to make sure you have updated and compatible versions of all of your plugins. The Pro Tools plugin architecture was changed drastically between versions 6 and 7 and many older plugins just aren't compatible.

It's the same reason that you had to get the new version of the adapter (which, by the way, the current version is 2.11).
