Default Pops noise after quick punch. Pics included.

I was having this problem with 8.0.4 as well and really shows when im tracking bass. About .1 seconds after the punch in spot there will always be a pop or click in the track. I zoomed in so you can get a look at what is going on.

Any ideas what the problem could be from or a fix?

Having a similar issue in PT9 and the solution(as odd as it sounds) is to unplug the footswitch and plug in another one. When the problem comes back(which it likely will the next time I boot up) I have to swap the footswitches again. I have no issues when using the transport buttons on the 003, or when using auto-punch.

Followup, it seems one of my switches is an ON/OFF type and not the proper momentary type.

I had some random occuring loud pops during quick punch when I punched out. Using PT9 on Windows 7, 64 bit, with RME FF800. It did it about every 3rd punch out or so. The fix for me was to make sure "Delay compensation" was turned OFF during record, it didn't matter even if there were no plugins. Seems it just didn't want delay compensation ON during a punch.

Yes i also get pops at the end of the track when i hit space bar. Even if nothing is being played while recording it still will leave a pop of audio at the end.

I do not have a footswitch hooked up to my digi002.

I also did not have delay compensation on when this was tracked or ever tracking. Protools 8 did not have adc so i know its not that.

I had this problem with Windows 7 64bit and protools 8.0.4. Thats Really when I found the problem is when i started using Windows 7 64 bit. Anyone else share these problems i have?

I hope i can find a fix soon before i rip my hair out. Also this is a fresh install of windows 7 and protools 9 and i have the same problem still. :-(

I know others have this problem. Some may not notice it cause its small but ive talked to a few engineers who also get the noise. Also the end noise when you stop recording is a common problem as well.

Thanks so much for the heads upon this. I hope Avid gets this fixed soon cause its a big problem when it screws up your audio you recorded.

Is there any other threads i could read you could maybe point me towards. I just want to read others post with the same problems, I tried a search but cant find much on this problem. I'm not sure exactly what to search for.
