Best way from PT 11 to PT 12

did you purchase already ?? if not, there are some new plans coming that might be to your advantage .. i myself, always do a fresh install

I always take the easy road, and it's usually ok.....

If you run into problems then you know what you would have to do....

I always take the safe road and have a backup plan I would clone the system drive, install the cloned drive and update(12 over 11). If it goes sour, clone FROM the original drive again, and uninstall 11 before installing 12(which IIRC, doesn't work on certain Apple OS versions)

clone drive means : time machine or carbon copy cloner?

fresh install means install all the plugins new or just clean uninstall and then install the new protools?

That's not kosher advice, but PT is a lot more stable than people give it credit for....
