I feel fortunate to have had the same dilemma recently, and went with an older Mac Pro. It looks like almost twice the processing for half of the price. (Well, at least +%150 the processing power) I did get a better deal on a 2010 Mac Pro than he did here, though.

Same deal, I don't need the extra video card horsepower/expense.

nMP is working like a charm. Getting alot of power to process and able to work without troubleshooting or crashes. Though the unit was pricey, I see it as a solid investment.
