Default Pro Tools 9.2 Waves Plug Ins

Hey Guys, Im having a bit of trouble here. I have Waves Plug-Ins and for some reason, Its not popping up on my inserts, but popping up under audio suite. I had a windows 7 computer that i got rid of and built a stronger windows 7 computer so i had to reinstall it all. I installed pro tools first then the waves. registered it and now nothings happening. When i open a session it says my old sessions plug ins for waves cant be found and are made inactive. audio suit pulls them up and opens no problem. any suggestions?

Try uninstalling all of the waves stuff again. Once everything is uninstalled delete your prefs and database files for PT.

Reinstall Waves and make certain you are allowing RTAS installation. Read the prompts carefully and follow their directions.

Use the full installer (current for your version of waves and bundle/plugs.

Should work just fine. Since there are not many people in here complaining of this issue I have to assume that it's local to your rig. The Waves installer is really pretty easy to use and should be working.. (then again, I haven't used the Win installer for some time now).

My guess is that your issue will be resolved by clearing your prefs and database files.

Also, check your plugin folder to make certain the waveshell file(s) are there.

Good luck.

Hold the shift key down the next time you start Pro Tools until you get the Waves prefs pop-up. Make sure "Don't use RTAS" is unchecked.
