C8 and monitoring through Mbox?

I am trying to set up a configuration with Mbox and the Command8 and am running into an odd problem. When I send the monitor output from the the Mbox straight to my speakers (Tannoy active), everything's fine (sorta, I'm getting a weird crackle, but I'm pretty sure that's a separate problem). However, when I try to run the Mbox line outs into the Command8's monitor ins and then the C8 monitor outs to the speakers, I get nothing. Any ideas where I may be going wrong on this? It's worth pointing out that the C8 seems to be working fine otherwise. All USB and midi-based functions are jim dandy.

Remember that the Comman|8 has a monitor section with a mute/external source/ and volume..
And your MBox volume still effects the routing going to Command|8...
I am sure is a small step you're missing... no biggy...
