Re: MIDI Records Ahead of the Beat.
Hey guys - yes the suspense is rising ! I actually have ADC off as it didn't do anything in my initial testing. I appreciate your guys' support - I'm gonna live with it for a while rather than continue to kill myself over this. Thanks !

Re: MIDI Records Ahead of the Beat.
This is an old thread I found from a Google search, but I've had this recurring problem too. It drives me crazy. After every take, I have to nudge the notes to match the performance. I was second guessing my timing, but even when I make a conscious effort to play WAY behind the beat the notes still end up earlier than I would expect them to be on the timeline. What's the deal with this? Is PT overcompensating for MIDI latency?

Re: MIDI Records Ahead of the Beat.
Hey buddy - I kinda forget what happened way back when - but I'm fairly sure it simply came back down to buffer settings. Very annoying and uninspiring when it's doin that stuff - - I know. So ya - I think I remember just tweekin and tweekin with it and making sure the comp load was also in check.
Hope it gets worked out for ya. |
