PT 10 & my 002 worked last night but not now

I did get your email asking about this problem. I agree with DigiTechSup in that something is not getting uninstalled completely. Given the time and frustration you have experienced, I would backup the hard drive and start completely with a fresh reformat of the hard drive and install everything fresh. That is one way to make sure nothing is lingering from an earlier version or driver.

Just one other possible problem to know about is the old and famous "Power harness: issues that affects many Digi002 and Digi002R interfaces. Do a search and about 5-6 years ago this issue was all over the forum.

Okay, if you haven't solved this yet...

1. Go to Macintosh HD > Library > Frameworks
2. Delete the CFnd.framework folder
3. Repair Disk Permissions using Apple's Disk Utility app
4. Run the Pro Tools 10.3.2 installer again

Please report your results.

OK I am making a little progress... I can actualy open a saved session & open it for playback on the iLOK but it still will not communicate with 002.

Yes I did, followed all directions to the letter!
1 Clean Uninstall- Check

2 A)Trash all PT related prefs- Check
B)Delete Cfnd.framework from Mac HD library-Check

3 Install PT 10 - Check

4 Installed the 002 drivers-check

5 Launch PT & hold down the “N” when I see the splash screen

6 Select digi 002 & click -Nope the 002 option never appears

Scratching my head as to what to do next
I tried using only 1 glyph without any backup files just a basic copy of the session files. Then tried using a Iomega portable hard drive as the interface between the mac & the 002 it is clean nothing on it ( I have used it prior to getting the glyphs successfully in the past) incase there was something on glyphs screwing things up....Didn't help.... Not sure what to do next pretty exhausted mentally now! Any more suggestions?

What has me really baffled was that everything worked...now it dosen’t.

The ol' letter N has saved me and a number of my casual PT-using friends.

You mentioned something about turning off the 002 and putting the mac to sleep... To this day, my mac sometimes has problems recognizing the 002 unless the interface is fully powered FIRST.

002 On -> Computer On.
