Argh - I'm having this problem too.
Going to attempt a downgrade to 9.0.5. Will report back. |

Re: AAF import makes 9.0.6 crash
I ran the 9.0.5 installer and everything is ok with AAF imports now.
Digi - are you likely to fix this bug for v9 users? Or are we frozen until we go to v10? cheers Adam |

Re: AAF import makes 9.0.6 crash
I find this very odd, as I am running 9.0.6 and have been for some time, and I have no issue opening AAF files at all.
That said, our second PT system just started to crash while opening AAFs, giving the same string of faults and errors. I open every AAF directly from our transfer server, rather than from my hard drive. I am starting to wonder if that is what is saving me. I will check into it and report back, if I find a solution. Digi/Avid...wake up and respond. JoeTools |

Re: AAF import makes 9.0.6 crash
I think I may have found a workaround that does not involve downgrading to 9.0.5. jdiprofio gave me the idea based on his comments that he imports from a server and my past experience with a similar bug. I decided to try to import from another drive rather than from the same drive my session is on and it worked. Ages ago back somewhere around PT 5 this was an issue with importing session data and selecting "copy files" when the session you were importing from lived on the same drive you were importing to. I think this is the same/related bug cropping its ugly head back up.
Avid please address this. It was obviously never fixed correctly in the first place! |
