003 has no sound output after update!!!

i am having similar issues. i updated to protools 10 after buying a new iMac. Early on i was only getting sound through my internal mic. i messed around with the set up configs and was able to get one external mic going. for some reason now i can't get my external mic to show a level.

under the set up it is recognizing my 003. i did a clean reinstall and also a firmware update. have downloaded the 003 drivers. i had it running not sure why it isnt now.

one thing ive noticed is that when i click the apple and go to system preferences and sound it says "the selected device has no input controls" under the 003.

i also noticed in the "audio devices"the format was set to 44.1 so i switched it to 48 cuz thats what my session was set to but that didnt work.

ive also messed around with the internal clocks trying to slave the 003 to my pre-sonus D8. not sure why this is so tough. used to b easy with my Dell

really old thread but here goes....

after reboots check your i/o b/c it's usually screwed up.....or wiped clean.

I would go with that......along with make sure your standalone drivers are loaded with 10.......(they are not the same).

followed with a dash of - Check your playback engine.....N while at the splash screen........
