And you must buy a dongle for another $50 as they don't work with the iLok or SN method. Are these folks commercial suiciders?

LOL

But you do get a $50 voucher for the ”licenser” you can use to get that $50 back when you buy the Plugin full price. Not if you do subscription

After a very short (less than 2 hours) demo I grabbed the V4B Ampeg amp. Have to say they pretty much nailed the sound and I love the ability to change the speaker cabs.

And it further gets me away from Amplitube 4

I can only assume you'll like the 15 then. I've not even tested anything else since discovering it in an alternate universe.

I dig that auto feature for switching cabs. Set it up for however many bars ya want and just start playing away. Remembering the finalists is the tough part.

Yeah man that thing is awesome. The cabs sound great and the Horn option is great for shaping the attack.

Huge fan of the B15 - had one back in the day and even had the clear plate between the transformers engraved with my name

I liked what I heard in the demos of the Ampeg, it made me want it even though I always prefer the Sansamp plugin over any bass amp, and now I'm also using a lot the Nembrini Sansamp which sounds different (in a good way) and it's equally effective.

Nice! I've not been doing this long enough to have had cool vintage gear. Cool gear, yes, but not vintage.

One bit of gear is one of those more modern Gibson LPs from 4-5 years back with the mid-boost push-pull. I found a pedal that does a decent job giving me that effect across the board on any and every guitar. I found out yesterday that it does very well with a small amount applied to my Jazz Bass signal before the Hi-Z with the B15N in place.

Totally! I have all the time in the world for Dirk, PA and their continued support of AAX-DSP. I don't really see what all the fuss is about the subscription plan. Nothing has really changed at my end. Same plugins, work well and sound great. What else really matters? What is happening on GS is pretty weird. It's like a lynch mob trying to drive prices down. I can't figure it out. It's like Dirk has become a victim of his own generousity... how that actually puts him in the wrong, I don't know.
