Default drum samples

I am new to this forum and to Pro Tools 7.0. Can you tell me if pro Tools has drum patterns built in? Or do I need to buy a drum plug in?

you need a plugin... try Reason 3.0 with the Reason Drums Refill or Strike from Digidesign. Reason will be a bit more pricey when all is said and done, but you also will have a bunch of other syths to use down the road. Plus its fun to use is standalone mode!

i cant make my reason adapted work with, or sync to, PT LE 7.3.1.., i did find on your 'EXPAND' software instrument that came with the ignition pack, if you search it you will find 'loops' on it, you have to look hard, I only found it the first time the night before last, I am also new too to PT. Also if you have some midi drum files on 'sampletank' (also on the ignition pack) there are a couple of settings for drum sounds via midi info.., 800, 900, and DRY are a couple of examples of settings I found. I have been having the same trouble as you, tried to get BDF to work but there was no content folder and only about 8 sounds.., useless.., also Abelton lite will not sync unless you but the full version, same with Melonome (whatever its called) all very disappointing, but as I say, you will find some nice drum loops and resonable drum sounds on XPAND and 'sampletank.'
