Default M-powered ok?

Hi!

I have been the happy owner of a digi 001, mbox 1, HD 2 accel. Current setup is LE 7.4 (mbox) with a RME ADI-2 in front. Great system. However, I'd like a faster response from PT. Both when playing a midi keyboard and I try to use a Poco with the vst-rtas wrapper. It workes in theory, but usb is way to slow.
So I was thinking about a M-audio with pci and S/pdif. Some of the delta cards!? Would that be snappy enough??
And most importent, is mpowered ok in terms of features and STABILITY?
Or is the mpower a "downgrade" compared to LE 7.4?

Thanks, Tubz
