Default Slowing down Audio from 24fps to 23.98fps...

Hi All,

I have film originated Audio at 24fps, and I'd like to slow it down to 23.98fps so that I can author NTSC DVD's.
Could you tell me how to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,
Rajnesh

best way to do this is with an external clock, a sync i/o and engage .1% pull down. you can also use a USD.

another "down and dirty" way, if you don't have the above is :

create a new 23.97 (or 29.97) 48k session. import the 24fps tracks and apply SRC to them. for SOURCE SR select 47952Hz as your source. this will pull it down (make it longer) to 48000.

can we make this a sticky?

hey David Sandwisch! we need to finish Book!

Thanks for the info. I just received some more information that I thought would be nice to Share:

Apple's SoundTrack Pro has a feature inbuilt called the "Stretch Tool" which they say will do this Stretch without Changing the Pitch.
Apparently, there's also an OpenSource Sound Editor called Audacity that one can use.

you can also use PT's TC/E AudioSuite Plug for this.

have you listened to the effect of "Stretch Tool"? over the course of a program, does it sound good?
