Default Back to the Future??

I'm running PT 12.5. A couple years ago, I upgraded the processor in my Windows 10 studio computer from an i5-3350P (Quad core 3.10, 4 threads, 6M cache) to an i7-3770 (Quad core 3.40, 8 threads, 8M cache). Truly, I can't say I noticed any significant boost in performance. The computer is getting old (built in 2/13), but it's still performing great, and at this time I just can't afford to replace it. My problem is this: ever since I upgraded to the i7, the fan is running much harder, and therefore making significantly more noise than it had been before. (The computer is liquid cooled, so I didn't install the new fan when I changed out the processor.) I'm continually fighting this. As a result, I'm contemplating going back to the i5, which barely ran the fan. Unfortunately, I'm neither on nor near my studio computer at the moment, so I can't supply a Sandra Report. I can tell you I have 16GB of RAM. Anyway, any thoughts on this? Let me know if you need the Sandra Report and I'll send it. Thank you.

Here is the Sandra Report I couldn't get to when I posted the original message. The only thing that's changed since I generated this is my version of Windows 10 has been upgraded.

Default Re: Back to the Future??

I should have also mentioned that both my system fan setting and CPU fan setting is on "Silent." Doesn't anyone have an idea/suggestion about my switching back to the i5?
