Installing PT HD 8 on Snow Leopard

Hi I have Pro Tools 8 and an Intel Mac with Snow Leopard.

From what I am aware PT HD 8.3 and above will run on Snow Leopard. I have a PT HD 8 installation CD and License.

How is the best way to install HD 8.3 or above? Can I install PT HD 8 and install updates, Will PT HD 8.0 load onto my Intel Mac.

Hi,

Is your PT8 HD registered in your Avid account? if so you should have access to the installers!

the PT8 CD might not be built to install on SL so you might need the 8.3 complete installer. i guess try the D installer and see, but th full installer for 8.3 is best.

Also, do you have HD hardware? HD8 will not run without it. It's only HD9 and later that will run without HD hardware.

Is there a full PTHD 8.0.3 installer, I could only find an update which I downloaded but appears faulty and won't load .

Yes I have HD hardware .

And PTHD 8 install file.

OK seems my issue was related more to a faulty HD.

So while i get that sorted I will be starting fresh.
Can anyone advise me if I can install PTHD 8 on Snow Leopard and do the relevant upgrades to 8.0.5 to make it compatible with Snow Leopard or will I have to start back at Leopard and start me update from there??
