Default Using the X 32 with Pro Tools 9.0.6 questions

Hi,

I am having a trouble using my Behringer X-32 as a remote controller with in Pro Tools. I have watched their Webinars onthe topic and a few others on You Tube but I do not seem to get mine set up right to use it this way.

I can get it to record into, mix in and outside the box but there is a way to use it like a Command 8 or my my first interface the Digi 002. But I jsut cannot seem to get it right no matter how many times I have checked the instructions only to see they have not changed but the function still does not work.

Other than this one quirk, I like the piece. But as with any new thing, it still tkaes some getting used to the functions, and I am still sort of, kind of like still working through those guffaws and the "that should of worked!" moments, so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

CTG

Not positive, but I believe its down to 2 things;
1-go to Peripherals>Midi controllers and set up a single HUI device with appropriate settings
2-hit the DAW Remote button on the X32.

Its my understanding that only the 8 master faders will address HUI and make things happen in Pro Tools, but maybe a youtube search will turn up more info

Albee 1952,

You are correct on all your advice and I have watched the Youtube Behringer Webinar and a couple others, I have done all the things it says to do in PT and on the console but it still does not work.

I am going to have to go back and check everything again and see if I am missing something. I can do everything else with the X 32 and Pro Tools, so I do not get it at all but ...

I will check all of the set-up again in PT and on the X 32 and go from there. I will let you know how it works out, Thanks for the information, your assistance and time. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and speak at you soon ...
