Nice, Pro Tools Expert has a post about this issue as well.

RexStrother in a comment on that page noted that if you make sure the track that is record enabled sits at the top of the mix edit window the delay does not occur.

Thanks RexStrother for the great workaround. And thank you to Pro Tools Expert for posting this issue as well.

My apologies. I didn't see the video that was made. I should have noticed that earlier.

Thank you for your speedy reply and workaround. I was curious if you have a general timeline for an Update that might resolve this issue?

I also have the same issue with pro tools 11, i record a track, no problem while recording, but when i play it back, its off timing, regardless of the Delay Comp. setting.

Got my client mad

Hope they will fix it soon

We have identified the root cause and are testing the fix now so we should be able to make this available soon, I just don't have a release date to quote.

I’m having the same exact problem. Haven’t done the click test yet, but PT11.0.1 on OSX 10.8.4 with an apogee Ensemble is USELESS for tracking. You hear that??? USELESS. Lots of latency no matter what the buffer size, audio super late when recorded, I don’t have sample measurements, but they’re similar to what is being reported here. This in a session with just a 2 track mix and a mic input, no plugins.

This my friends is a HUGE bug. I’m going back to 10.3.6
