Default \"Clunky\" faders

Two of my faders are starting to slam down to zero...as if it wants to go further, but can't. They make a slamming noise when returning to zero. (Zero, as in volume all the way down.)

Also, the two faders are not smooth when responding to automation. Maybe there's dust in there or maybe there's a motor problem.

Question: Is there a lubricant I can spray in there? Good or bad idea? Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,
John

I wouldn't spray anything in the faders, that would probably be bad. Try running the fader calibration in the "Utility" menu on the console.

I didn't know Control 24 had a fader calibration utility. I didn't see it in the utility menu. Maybe it's part of a later version...?

Hmmm. I thought it did. The Pro Control does for sure. I'll be using a C24 tomorrow for a mix. I'll check it out and get back to you. If you're still under warranty though, I'd call Digi in the morning and see if it's something they know about and need to replace.

OK, so I guess there's no fader calibration function on the Control 24 that I could find. Bummer. Call Digi.
