fast track ultra or profire 2626
Hi. i am new to this site. I have been at the Namm show this past couple of days and a guy from the m-audio booth told me to check out this site.
I have been recording with an mbox 2 mini for a while now, but now i need to be able to record drums. i have decided to get the M-powered protools, but i have a question. what are the main advantages and disadvantages between the Fast Track Ultra and the Profire 2626 (aside from the number of preamps)? thanks! p.s. the guy also told me that in a few months they were releasing a Fast Track Ultra R. he says it is the same as the other one, but it has 8 pres. i think it will also be rack mounted. have any of you heard anything about this? thanks. |

Re: fast track ultra or profire 2626
I'm actually surprised there hasn't been more buzz about this. Provided the drivers are good, I see this as being a fantastic way to get a mobile pro tools rig. You can use the 8 pre's if you need a one box solution or you have 2 ADAT's to use at home if you wanted a more extensive setup.
