Default \"bounced to disk\" volume low, what did I do?

HI, I have been bouncing to disk/ mp3 format to preview my work. All of the sudden, I bound to disk and the overall volume of the mp3 is WAY down. If I revert to an eariler saved version of the same song and bounce, then the volume is back up. I can't see anything I did that would bring the overall volume down on this newest save session. (no master fader, no changes to levels
