Having trouble syncing Digi001. Please Help!

I would like to sync my Digi001 to either my Roland VS-880's, or my ADAT's. I've been using the MIDI from the 880's which will start and stop ProTools, but ProTools won't match its time code to the 880's. I can't seem to find the trick. Any suggestions?

hi i'm using a 1680 and it works fine . you can use either one as a master ...check out the window pull-down under show seccion pref. also make sure that the starttime ( in pt) is set to all 000000's..( the default is set to 01....or one hour!) good luck...pvonte

IF YOU JUST SET UP EVERYTHING USING YOUR MANUAL AND YOU ARE SURE 880 IS TRANSMITTING MTC, ONE MORE HINT:

Can't get MTC into In Pro Tools LE 5.0.1 for Win98
In the Peripherals menu, the Generic MTC Reader port setting must be set to Any. Switching it to the specific device which is actually sending MTC will not work.

This is a known bug in Pro Tools LE 5.01 for Win98
